The CRI 2025 – Child-Robot Interaction Conference took place at the University of Milano-Bicocca, offering an inspiring opportunity for dialogue on research, teaching, and educational robotics.
In this context, I had the pleasure of leading the workshop “RE-inventing Teaching: Educational Robotics and Equal Opportunities”, addressed to teachers and educators. The session emphasized the potential of robotics as an inclusive and motivating tool in schools, as well as a valuable means to challenge and overcome gender stereotypes.
The conference also included the presentation of the research “Educational Robotics and STEM Interest in Fifth Grade: A Pre-Post Study” (Monica Pivetti, Laura Cesaro, Emanuele Menegatti), which investigates the role of educational robotics in fostering interest in STEM subjects among primary school students.
I am grateful to the RobotiCSS Lab for their excellent organization and to all the participants with whom I had the chance to exchange ideas, practices, and perspectives for the future.
