From October 13 to 15, I took part in ITADINFO 2023, the first Italian Conference on Informatics Education, held in Bari and organized by the CINI National Laboratory Informatics and School.
The conference brought together teachers, researchers, and innovators to discuss how to strengthen the presence of computer science in schools. Through workshops, research presentations, and hands-on sessions, we explored both theory and practice, with a strong focus on how to make computer science teaching effective and meaningful for students.
For me, ITADINFO was a valuable chance to connect with colleagues from different parts of Italy, exchange experiences, and discover new approaches to teaching informatics. I especially appreciated the attention given to educational continuity and the role of digital innovation in making learning more inclusive.
Being part of this first edition felt important: ITADINFO is not just a conference, but the start of a national community dedicated to rethinking how computer science can be taught at all levels of education. I am also glad that my contribution was published in the conference proceedings, making this first edition even more meaningful for my research journey.
