1. Who We Are
This website (phd.emedialab.it) is the personal PhD portfolio of Laura Cesaro, PhD student in Educational Robotics at UNIPD IAS-Lab, primary school teacher and teacher trainer for the Italian Ministry of Education. It documents her academic journey, publications, conference presentations, and educational projects.
Laura Cesaro acts as the Data Controller for any personal data collected through this site, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 and Italian privacy law.

If comments are enabled and you leave one, WordPress collects your name, email address, and IP address. Data is processed in accordance with the Automattic/WordPress Privacy Policy.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Transfers
This website may integrate or link to third-party services. Where third parties process personal data on our behalf, appropriate data processing agreements are in place. Key third parties include:
- WordPress.org / Hosting provider – website infrastructure and content management.
- University of Padua (UNIPD) – institutional affiliation; the university’s own privacy policy governs data processed through university systems.
- emedialab.it – linked external site operated separately.
This site does not sell personal data to third parties. Any data transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are governed by appropriate safeguards as required under Chapter V GDPR (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Security Measures
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or alteration, in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR. These include HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security updates to the WordPress platform.
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, you will be notified as required by Art. 33–34 GDPR.
7. Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children under the age of 16 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Although the site’s research topics concern educational activities involving children, no personal data of minors is collected through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
