On March 21, 2024, I joined IRIS 2024, the national event organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Italy Section during STEM Week. The initiative gave schools from preschool to high school a platform to share projects promoting STEM education and gender equality.
Among the highlights was I.C. 2 Chioggia (Veneto), which presented “Un tuffo nelle STEM” and received a special mention for its interdisciplinary approach. Educational robotics played a central role, both through the University of Padua and hands-on workshops for students.
The day showed how powerful it can be when schools, universities, and communities come together to make STEM more inclusive, creative, and meaningful for the next generation.
