Edurobotics Camp #4 | International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On February 11th, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we hosted the #4Edurobotics Camp at the Engineering HUB in Padova — an afternoon training event for teachers of all school levels, organised in collaboration with the Équipe Formativa Territoriale of USR Veneto.

My contribution focused on how educational robotics can be a concrete tool to help girls overcome the gender gap in STEM, connecting research evidence to classroom practice.

The programme included hands-on robotics workshops for every school level, an exploration of women who shaped the history of STEM, thanks to professor Silvana Badaloni, and the collaborative design of inclusive teaching activities to bring back to the classroom.

A reminder that building more inclusive STEM education starts with the teachers — and with the choices they make every day.
