From October 25 to 27, 2024, I had the opportunity to be at the University of Padua’s stand during the Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, held at the historic Gazometro Ostiense in Rome.
Maker Faire Rome is truly a celebration of innovation, creativity, and the maker spirit—a place where robotics, artificial intelligence, agritech, circular economy, digital manufacturing, and sustainability come to life through hundreds of projects and prototypes shown by makers, companies, institutions, schools, and universities from across Europe.
Being part of the University of Padua’s presence at this event was a valuable experience. At our stand, we showcased how academic research and educational robotics intersect with hands-on innovation, welcoming visitors of all ages to explore, ask questions, and engage with our demonstrations.
Being there meant contributing to making technology accessible and inspiring—a reminder that education, research, and creativity can converge to spark curiosity and build connections across disciplines.
